Situada al sur de la provincia  de Salamanca, es una de las crestas más altas de las estribaciones occidentales de la Cordillera Central. Se encuentra dentro del Parque Natural de las Batuecas - Sierra de Francia.

Candelario ha sido nombrado como uno de “Los pueblos más bonitos de España” por ser uno de los municipios más turísticos de la provincia salmantina ademas de por la singular arquitectura, mantenimiento de su fiestas, tradiciones y costumbres. Candelario has been named one of "The most beautiful villages of Spain" for being one of the most tourist towns of the province of Salamanca in addition to the unique architecture, maintaining their holidays, traditions and customs.

Al pie de la Sierra de Béjar, hoy en día constituye un buen ejemplo de cómo la arquitectura se ha adaptado al relieve y a las condiciones climatológicas a las que está sometida. De su configuración son de destacar sus empinadas y enrolladas calles recorridas por "regaderas", que son canalillos con agua cristalina recogida de los neveros de su sierra.

Cáceres. Hervás.Maravillosos colores de otoño. Beautiful colors of autumn.

Cae la tarde sobre el pueblo cacereño de Hervás y los colores otoñales de los bosques de robles que lo rodean se amplían en tonos amarillentos y ocres que impresionan nuestras retinas y nos dejan un recuerdo imborrable. El atardecer es la mejor hora para disfrutar de los paisajes y de los barrios cristiano y judío que aun se conservan con una gran belleza, y nos trae a la mente una vez más las épocas y las culturas que poblaron España a lo largo de su historia.

Evening falls on the town of Hervas (Cáceres) and the autumnal colors of the oak woods surrounding it are expanded in yellowish and ocher tones that impress our retinas and leave us a lasting memory. The sunset is the best time to enjoy the landscapes and the Christian and Jewish neighborhoods that are still preserved with great beauty, and brings to mind once again the times and cultures that inhabited Spain throughout its history .
